In New York Times bestselling author Chantal Fernando’s latest novel in the Wind Dragons Motorcycle Club series, Rake—baddest of the bad boys—gets his own romance at last!
Rake is known for being up for anything, in and out of the bedroom. He’s wild, he’s deadly, yet quick with a joke or a stolen kiss. Known as the player of the WDMC, he loves women, the more the merrier. However, behind his womanizing façade, Rake hides the pain of losing his first love, Bailey. He hasn’t loved anyone since, and doesn’t think he ever will.
Seven years after their split, Rake and Bailey run into each other at the MC’s favorite club. Old wounds resurface, secrets are spilled...and passionate feelings are awakened. But they’ve each done things to hurt the other, hurt them too badly to get over it—haven’t they? Only when Bailey’s connection to Rake puts her in danger from another Club member does he realize that there’s nothing he won’t do to protect her—and claim her as his once again.
Ever Since Arrow’s Hell came out I was always captivated by Rake. Wondering what was his tory? Will he find someone like Faye? Or Anna? To bring him to his knees or give him a taste of his own stuff lol. I was squealing like a school girl when I heard Rake’s story was being written. Especially more with that scene in Tracker’s End when they were at Rift. Thats when my wheels stared turning about who is this Bailey chick? What was she to him to make I’m turn down the threesome that was about to go down? Well readers your about to find out and let me tell you this that you will see Rake in a different light them him being a manwhore.
Rake is the Wind Dragon’s very own manwhore and he is proud about it. We all know that the men of this MC are a little more then your badass biker. We see Rake acting the total opposite then he usual is. He is in my option more complicated then it gets. His past shaped him to what he is today and he is the product of a man still trying to nurse a broken heart.
Bailey is a single and a hot teacher trust me HOT. She and her best friend Tia are a trip they had me rolling. She grew up with Adam aka Rake and Anna Rake’s little sister. The three of them were inseparable until in high school it all stopped. Things turned nasty and it was downhill from then on. Now bailey in the present is a badass chick with a personality to boot. She is fresh out of a relationship which she describes as “being thrown into a pool with out floaties”.
I loved this seeing how they both interacted with each other and when they got in each others faces. What I thought was sexy when he got uber possessive and just down right caveman. We see flash backs of their past getting bit by bit of what happen to tear them apart. Once you get the whole picture it will use break your heart. It made me feel for both of them. This is a second chance romance book from two people that are perfect for one another just to damn stubborn to realize it from the start.
Chantal Fernando you it out of the park with this one. These men stories keep getting better and better. Between you and me my favorite couple still is Dex and Faye. It’s nice to see the other couples and how they are one big happy family. Oh! Can’t forget to talk abut that epilogue wow! It has me thinking and maybe just maybe my dreams will come true and we might see the next generation of the Wind Dragon’s? Hey a woman can dream.
